    Moving on from the NIV

Perhaps in regards to Romans 16. But overall the 2011 is vaslty superior to the NIV84. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

NIV vs CSB: which do you prefer?

The NIV reads "deacon", not "apostle". Perhaps you are referring to "junia" in Roman's 16:7? Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

    NIV vs. ESV, Part 2

    Moving on from the NIV

Dont listen to him @alexander284 . Martin is European....his really name isnt even Martin! ...and as a Brit his is probably legally required to use a Bible with "King James" in the title! :) I am just kidding with my brother. If I felt the TR was a better witness than the NA I would...

The ESV and mainline Protestant denominations

So far, no one has noticed it stated any changes to protestant Scripture. Only changes that were made were to the apocrypha....that is all anyone has noticed and published. I have seen nothing suggesting the ESV was changed outside apocrypha books. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

The ESV and mainline Protestant denominations

I'm not sure that is the case. The KJV is widely used still by many of the Methodists and charismatics in my area. Mainline typical (my experience) use NIV, NRSV and *CEB*. I have never seen a mainline church that uses the ESV for curriculum or preaching. Maybe "mainline" Lutherns use the ESV...

ESV vs. NAS: which do you prefer?

I believe the ESV to be easier understood there. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

KJV vs. NKJV: which do you prefer?

NKJV. If I believed the TR to better reflect the original NT writings, the NKJV would be my translation of choice. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

Do you tend to "mark your Bibles up," or do you prefer to keep them clean and pristine?

Perhaps to some people. Others will feel that their notes are better suited to be placed in notebook or commentaries. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

Mistakes, lies, false witness, and such sins..

Years ago as a Tapatalk user...and it was used error...when someone would PM me , I would hit "follow". For some reason I though it meant follow the conversation, but it followed the users post on any part of the board. And if they used tapatalk as well , I started getting their posts from all...

Is the New American Standard Bible as "wooden" as some claim that it is?

All translations do. Almost as much as the greek. :) Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

Post Tenebras Lux rebound my great grandfather's Bible this fall. They did a great job. It cost about $290 total for everything I had done. *sorry pics rotated when I posted them...but you get the idea... Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

Is the New American Standard Bible as "wooden" as some claim that it is?

For $24 it is hard to find a Bible of better value... Binding, and paper. Unless things have changed AMG puts out good Bibles for the price. * same for their word study Bibles Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

With the continuing development of CBGM and textual discoveries, myself and probably hundreds of students, pastors and professors encouraged crossway to not follow through with the "permanent text". They listened to to reason. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

Do you tend to "mark your Bibles up," or do you prefer to keep them clean and pristine?

Yeah, I don't feel good about marking up the word of God. I have no scripture or moral argument. It is just me. I feel like I would be disrespecting God's word if I marked it up. I have no issue with people who mark in their Bible. I understand why they do it and they intened no disrespect...

New American Standard Bible 2020 Update

I am sure it will get raked over the coals. They are replacing one of the most respected English translations ever. Even if it is a good product, it won't get the respect of it's predecessor. A close parallel may be the NJKV and KJV. I believe the NKJV to be the better product, but the NKJV...

Do you tend to "mark your Bibles up," or do you prefer to keep them clean and pristine?

I don't write in a Bible. I just don't feel right about it. I do however write in my books, commentaries and highlight & and add notes on Olive Tree Bible software. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
