Yes, it is possible to reconcile all of the New Testament Scriptures

If one is going to reconcile the NT scriptures, one must understand what it means to be in Christ. One doesn't go in and out of Christ. One is either born again, which is being placed in Christ, or one has never been born-again. What you are promoting is a person being born-again, then unborn...

Yes, it is possible to reconcile all of the New Testament Scriptures

Browner, this statement is an oxymoron..."believers are not in the Spirit". If one is a believer, one is in the Spirit. There is no such thing as a believer without the Spirit of Jesus Christ. One does not go in and out of Christ as they live their lives. Being born of God is a one time act of...

Yes, it is possible to reconcile all of the New Testament Scriptures

Romans 8 makes it perfectly clear that "in the Spirit" means having the Spirit of Jesus Christ dwelling in you. Anyone not having the Spirit of Jesus Christ is "none of His". I presume you would confess that you have the Spirit of Christ dwelling in you, correct?

Yes, it is possible to reconcile all of the New Testament Scriptures

Well you quoted me this post when you laughed.... "Eternal life/Jesus Christ is already possessed by the believer who has been born of God. So the narrow and difficult way is being in Jesus Christ." I believe I understand perfectly well how Paul described being "in Jesus Christ".... "But ye...

"I ascribe my change wholly to God."

I see salvation in the scriptures as regeneration/born-again. Having a "said" faith does not save. Being drawn or convicted by the Holy Spirit to call upon Jesus Christ is not having been saved. Ye must be born again. The only way to be born again is to receive Jesus Christ by calling upon Him...

"I ascribe my change wholly to God."

Are there any non Cals here who do not believe Salvation is All of God? Calvinist appear to have this notion that if you believe you had a freewill choice to accept or reject Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior then somehow God had no part in the process. C.H. Spurgeon said this... "The thought...

Yes, it is possible to reconcile all of the New Testament Scriptures

Not sure how this answers why you laugh when I said Jesus Christ is eternal life?

Yes, it is possible to reconcile all of the New Testament Scriptures

What part do you find laughable? That Jesus Christ is eternal life? Please be more specific so we can go to the scripture and see what God says about this.

I believe my investigative questioning exposes errors in theologies. Thus the tuck and runs I often get. ;) Actually, your response has served the purpose of my question. Smile

Yes, it is possible to reconcile all of the New Testament Scriptures

Eternal life/Jesus Christ is already possessed by the believer who has been born of God. So the narrow and difficult way is being in Jesus Christ.

    Little Sins?

Sounds like he believes God grades on degrees of sin. He simply needs to know "little sins" will send one to hell just the same as the "big ones" unless they have been born again. Hopefully when he hears this he will ask the same questions Nicodemus asked and it will lead him to a contrite heart...

Yes, it is possible to reconcile all of the New Testament Scriptures

I asked you if you ever did any of these sins after you were saved and you said "not in the manner given in the text". What does that mean? Obviously you believe there are two manners of sinning.

Yes, it is possible to reconcile all of the New Testament Scriptures

So what are the two manners you see in these sins?

(Gal 5:21) "Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God." Have you ever done such a thing since you have been saved?

How do you know you are saved?

Greetings Elena, This is a good question and an appropriate question. The best answer, if you would like to examine yourself, is found in Romans 8. The whole chapter is very informative and Paul makes it very clear that you will know you are saved. (15) "For ye have not received the spirit of...

Yes, it is possible to reconcile all of the New Testament Scriptures

Define habitually. Everyday? Once a week? Once a month? Once a year? Every other year? Who then becomes the judge? We or God? And who can know for sure they are saved if the measure is habitual sin? And what defines the line to cross that might be? By grace alone through faith alone are ye...
