    Amen!

Of course you know, Claudia, that now I will again be accused of reading too much of the SDA doctrine because I agree with that statement.

    @ sfic

Very simple question. Did the people which jumped from the World Trade Center because they were totally terrified go to hell because they jumped? Was it really pride? Pride makes so much sense, it's incredible, you know?
I tell you how it was.
These people stood there and watched the fire coming closer and closer. No way to escape. And then they thought: Wow, I'm so proud. I will simply jump. Yeah right. They jumped and while they were jumping they were screaming at God and laughing and mocking him and thinking to themselves: Haha! I determine when and how I die.

Yes, I bet this is how it was. It was all about pride. Now I get it! These people were simply too damn proud to be burned alive. Oh yeah.

I bet some of them even put on new Mascara and make up while they were falling because they were so proud.

Lying is also abominable. Can somebody lie and still go to heaven? Yes or no?

    xdx,

Does the Word of God say all murderers will have their part in the lake of fire, or just some?

Since a lying tongue is abominable, if one lies and dies without repenting, wouldn't God be lying if he let that which is abominable into His Kingdom?

EVERY sin is abominable in God's sight. Do you know EVERY sin you have ever commited to make sure you have repented of it before you die so that you will not go to hell?

I think you are confusing the sin with the sinner. A born again child of God is NOT abominable to God, but the sin is. However, the sin (past, present and future) has been washed away by the blood of Christ.

we arent aware of each sin we commit but...

Acts:24:16: And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.

God has brought to my attention through my years of serving Him many sins that I had forgotten... and I did indeed repent. And as I read His Word and walk with Him if the Spirit brings any more to light (it does reveal the hidden thoughts), I will indeed repent of those as well.

He will not let me die in sin if I am one of His.

Why didn't you directly say that you belong to the "If I sin and die without repenting I go to hell because the blood of Christ wasn't enough to save me" group?
This would have made it much easier. :)

Do you not see how ridiculous this is? Then you can never ever feel safe and your salvation is on jeopardy. Imagine you're in the hospital on your death bed and then a nurse walks in and she's simply da bomb and you look at her and there is a sinful thought just 1 second before you die and then you go to hell because you didn't have the chance to repent. Yes, this makes a lot of sense.
This must be a really mercyful God.

Not the sin or murder of one's self. One cannot repent of killing oneself.

One who is on his deathbed, obviously so racked with pain or full of morphine that they can't think is not going to think lustful thoughts toward a nurse or anyone else a second before they die.

    Sinless perfection has arrived!

Just make sure you don't die with some of those forgotten sins unconfessed..........God can lie about eternal security of the believer, but He cannot lie about His judgement on sin. Oh my, what a tender walk in life is ours. I shouldn't go outdoors, in case I meet someone and fail to witness before shaking the dust off my sandals.

    Bang on X and Helen,

    Cheers,

    Jim

SFIC, I think you are going to see a lot of people in heaven that you didn't expect would be there. That is if you repented of all of YOUR sins. Hope you don't forget one.

I certainly won't see suicides in heaven, as they have murdered themselves, breaking God's law.

I think its odd that people see things so extremely.

Like as in either God is some completely legalistic God who strains at gnats or else the other alternative is you can go around murdering people and still go to heaven with no repentence.

dont you guys know any middle ground :)

You seem to have an excuse for everything.

    Okay, imagine this scenario.
You are crossing a street and there is a giant perfume ad showing a half naked women and you accidentally fail to cover your eyes as you cross the street to protect them from these sinful images and you see this half naked woman and immediately there is a sinful thought and at the same moment you are run over by a huge truck without the chance to repent. Do you not think that such a scenario is possible? And then you would go to hell, right?
Or let me guess, if this ever happened then God would send angels which would either lift you or the truck up into the air to give you the necessary time to repent, right? :)

SFIC, what if, when you die, there is one sin that you did not repent of. Will you go to hell?

You guys would nullify every single Bible verse by taking it to the extreme and then claiming the entire thing is therefore useless then...

    Thou shalt not kill

"Yeah but what if you accidentally kill a flea though?"

    come onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

I can just imagine you trying to stand in front of God saying that...
