    Tradition or Scripture

I think going to church detracts from true worship because it is in and of itself a ritual. It always struck me as people "Playing Church" just as little kids "Play House". The early church house meetings would be more akin to a group of believers meeting at Micky D's and sharing a meal and...

"Speak Evil of No Man" - Titus 3:2a

I think speaking evil means sinning in what you say. “Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:” Ephesians 4:31 (KJV 1900) John the Baptist spoke the truth about Herod's adultery and got his head cut off for it. How about...

Has ALL Humanity Been Given a Measure of Faith?

God must first save you before you can have biblical faith. It is a fruit of the Holy Spirit.

Some Objections to AD70 Rapture Answered

I've read several places that both Preterism and Dispensationalism were influenced by the Jesuits to deceive Protestants into thinking the Antichrist cannot be the Papacy but instead either past or yet future. That they are of recent invention from the 1800s? including the "rapture"?

    Can you prove by Scripture

I don't think so. You seem to make God a learner (violates omniscience) and to base His plans on what man chooses to do or doesn't choose to do. This might as well be Atheism.

    Can you prove by Scripture

Where did you miss it? You make God a spectator and you control Him.

    Can you prove by Scripture

God is beneath the choices, even sin, all leading to the fulfillment of His eternal decree. How could He know everything if you can change the course of history?

    Can you prove by Scripture

Jesus Christ, unless you substitute a false understanding of Him that involves you in idol worship. Take care in how you describe Him.

    Can you prove by Scripture

God's will is perfect. Any change in His decree would be to imperfection ruling out His free will. In this, He determined our choices, (part of his eternal plan, or as He says, "the end from the beginning") so neither do we have free will. “Remember the former things of old: For I am God, and...

    Can you prove by Scripture

The way I understand it, God sends the reason we base our choice on. So we incur guilt or reward because it is the choice we wanted to make. But it is God who controls our choices.

    Most Difficult Concept

John says if you do not have the Sermon on the Mount, you do not have God. Proof available for serious discussion.

    Most Difficult Concept

How can scripture be non-specific when it says "be not unequally yoked with unbelievers"? Or "love your enemies"? Or "Resist not evil"? Did you know John says any who do not have the Sermon, also do not have God? Quit making excuses for blatant sin and try to follow Christ instead.

    Most Difficult Concept

You cannot find any believer in the NT, except Peter whom Christ rebuked, using violence in self-defense. You only see Paul defending himself with civil law occasionally. Don't add to God's word.

    Most Difficult Concept

Your conscience can deceive you. Look at Islam. Only God's word can be the guide for your conscience.

    Most Difficult Concept

If you live the Sermon on the Mount you cannot perform as a member of the military. Do you know that if you do not live the Sermon, you do not have Christ according to John?

    Most Difficult Concept

Not since it began bothering my conscience. I felt like a spectacle not doing so in community events but held true to my convictions. I stopped voting too.
  17. 1689Dave

    Most Difficult Concept

You took a pledge denying Christ's teachings. I did not.
  18. 1689Dave

    Most Difficult Concept

No, the Sermon is the law spiritually interpreted as the basis for NT ethics.
  19. 1689Dave

    Most Difficult Concept

Did you know Christ was teaching under the Old Covenant? And this has nothing to do with NT ethics?
