Calvinism and Arminianism foreknowledge compared with respect to time

Nor would we have been made in God’s image.

Calvinism and Arminianism foreknowledge compared with respect to time

Does He “permit” a decision before the maker of that decision exists?

Calvinism and Arminianism foreknowledge compared with respect to time

I guess I need some clarification from you. I thought all of us are saved by the death of Christ. He took our place on the cross we deserved, and as He died, He cried, “It is finished!” Was there more to be done?

Calvinism and Arminianism foreknowledge compared with respect to time

Are you saying there are some people God wants to walk in sin?

Calvinism and Arminianism foreknowledge compared with respect to time

Those verses don’t say anything about God creating time.

Calvinism and Arminianism foreknowledge compared with respect to time

Which one would you have me confess? The 1644 version, or the “more correct” one from 1646? “The first edition was published in 1644. This second edition "corrected and enlarged" was originally published in 1646.” Am I only a proper baptist if holding to the latter? And what about the “second”...

Does All Mean All...Does World mean All

How would one verify that he has been saved from death, the wages of sin? Wouldn’t it be by either avoiding death or by reversing death? The first is described in 1 Thess 4:17. And isn’t the second what is described in Rev 20:12-13, among other places? This is implicitly described as a 2nd...

Does All Mean All...Does World mean All

Is it more grievous to sin against a command of God than it is to sin against His eternal holiness?

If there were, then it seems like we are then saved by something besides the death of Jesus Christ.

Calvinism and Arminianism foreknowledge compared with respect to time

"Look in your direction"? What direction was that before the world was created? If He decided He was going to look in your direction before you came along, then He would either 1. have to arrange all of the events leading to your existence, as well as your response to His call, from the...

Calvinism and Arminianism foreknowledge compared with respect to time

Does he? each and every one? If so, then on what basis does he decide that? If he decides to save some particular persons, and each of those persons WILL believe, confess His name, and call Him Lord, does that person do it under compulsion (God's will overcoming a sinful man's will), or does...

Where was Jesus for 3 days?

That is a good scripture to quote for this topic. But what does it mean to be in the heart of the earth? Ps 139:15 might give us a clue: 15My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. David seems to be talking about the...

    Insurrection act of 1807

I don’t understand your question. Are you saying Trump doesn’t have the authority to pardon?

    Insurrection act of 1807

An “autonomous zone” is declaring itself not under any authority, city, state, or country. But that area is a part of all 3, city, state, and country. The mayor, the governor, and the president all have a responsibility to protect the citizens of that area from usurpers of authority.

My bible never says “Paradise is part of Hades.” Which one are you studying?

Where was Jesus for 3 days?

I thought Jesus was dead for three days--and in the grave.
