Faith, Coming to Christ pleases God !

What I haven't been able to quite figure out is whether she's trying to support calvinism, without realizing that her postings are not standard calvinist theology; or if she's so hyper-calvin she doesn't even realize it; or if she's actually espousing a different viewpoint entirely (that...

Faith, Coming to Christ pleases God !

And obviously, cannot be born again.... ...which leads to the question, if they can't be born again, and the ones already elected are elected while even yet in unbelief, then who can be born again?

The 5 Points that lead me out of Calvinism

The ONLY way to answer yes to that question, is to admit that God created some human beings in His own image, but He created them to go to hell.

The 5 Points that lead me out of Calvinism

Gentlemen - please. 31 pages, with savedbymercy still no clearer to arminian, calvinist, or anyone else than she was on page 1. Too late to start contrasting calvinists vice anyone else....

When 2 Tim 3:2 is fulfilled

So--are you gonna sit down with him and help him out?

When 2 Tim 3:2 is fulfilled

If this is true, then your mistake was offering a book. If he truly has disabilities, then a book may be beyond his ability. Instead, try sitting down with him and working through a questionnaire. If necessary, make it a game. Break it up into several short sessions so he's not overwhelmed...

When 2 Tim 3:2 is fulfilled

Based on the description we were given, this guy was all over the place. The description indicates that the individual believes he's qualified to do anything; and while I'm gonna address Evangelist in a further post, the guy wasn't interested in being helped to find out what he should be doing...

When 2 Tim 3:2 is fulfilled

Actually, Zaac, "The Voice" and other TV shows are the proof that what you've written is incorrect. I can dream and study and practice as much as I want; the harsh truth is that I will never be able to sing like Frank Sinatra. That dream will never become a reality. And you encouraging me to...

Calvnism getting hammered lately on this board

I am not a calvanist. "Hammered"? Bob, this statement sounds arrogant. The goal shouldn't be to "hammer"; but to sharpen. I offer this as a caution. I'm reminded of Galatians 6:1.

    Court forced chemo

Just wanted to ask before I made any assumptions. My wife started chemo a month ago. Every two weeks for six months. Five months, ten more treatments to go. During the first one, she started thinking about not doing any more. After the initial five days, she was back to "normal," and thinking...

Benjamin - have you experienced chemo, or have/had a relative who did?

The 5 Points that lead me out of Calvinism

Oh, I know. Just every once in a while, she posts something that I'd like to clarify, so I ask a question; but apparently I'm not worthy.

The 5 Points that lead me out of Calvinism

Yup, I'm on ignore. DHK - she's saying that Jesus' reference to seeking and saving the lost is within the calvinist viewpoint. In other words, "the sheep that have gone astray." They never stopped being His sheep; they're the ones that Jesus is talking about when He says the shepherd will...

The 5 Points that lead me out of Calvinism

Okay, I'd like to try again: Then you wrote: You're contradicting yourself. You can't say that the lost will not hear the gospel; then reference the lost that were saved. You're making no sense.

The 5 Points that lead me out of Calvinism

SBM must have me on ignore....

The 5 Points that lead me out of Calvinism

I understand what you're saying: the lost are lost, period. No amount of preaching the gospel to them will change that fact. Only the elect will have any benefit from the preaching -- but based on your past postings, they don't need the preaching, because even if they've never heard the gospel...

What we can learn from Denmark.

Let's make sure we understand a primary foundation of what has been posted: Senator Bernie Sanders, getting information from the ambassador. Do either of these people actually walk/live among the poor in Denmark? A quick search will bring up information that's somewhat contrary to what Mr...
