    James 2:24, "You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone"

    Answer my question, what do you see as the difficulty? I do not see any problem between being justified without works. And those who are already justified without works also being justified by works, Ephesians 2:8-10.

    By all means categorize them for us:

    13 for not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified: Ro 2
    24 being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Ro 3
    1 Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;
    9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, shall we be saved from the wrath of God through him. Ro 5
    33 Who shall lay anything to the charge of God`s elect? It is God that justifieth; Ro 8[

    If you don't hold to the unscriptural notion of justification by faith alone there is no difficulty.

    Try 2 Timothy 3:16 "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness"

    What is your view of scripture then if you do not believe it is God breathed??

    Prove salvation is not really a gift and faith alone without works is false in order to be saved.

    So, what do you think? Was Paul going senile?:

    13the doers of the law shall be justified...Ro 2

    20 ...by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified... Ro 3

    No because both statements are true. Your difficulty seems to be not believing that no one is ever been justified by verse 13 except Jesus.

    I've resolved apparent difficulties years ago.

    Do you consider yourself as a doer of the law? Are you justified? Is God going to render to you according to your works, eternal life?

    Yes, they add merit and law to salvation as synergists.
