    Primitive Baptists beliefs

Again... no apologies necessary. You made a valid point. I need to articulate my response well.

    Primitive Baptists beliefs

No abrasion felt... that is a valid point. Let me consider how to respond before I post something here trite and unhelpful.

    Primitive Baptists beliefs

Far from that. I think the criteria of God's elect is the same for all people, young or old, adults or infants, mentally competent or insane.

    Abbreviated Word Study G2523, kathizete

Can you demonstrate where I even once mentioned anything to do w/ a reflexive pronoun and an active voice verb? I think it is you who misunderstood me.

    Primitive Baptists beliefs

Same place I would put the infants and babies... I'll let the judge do what he deems is right. Elect infants... elect imbeciles... and so on. It does not change my point. The gospel at its core is about Jesus. No Jesus, no gospel. No gospel, no salvation.

    Primitive Baptists beliefs

I didn't hear "Jesus is Lord" in any of that. Certainly they need to be aware of the man who bore their sin, no?

    Job's Resurrection Verse: Job 19:25-26

And you soon will be on his ignore list. Good points, btw

    The word "believe"

Careful w/ prepositions. They don't have literal meanings. They are the most contextually guided words that simply answer questions.

    KJVO and Missions

Yes... if they convinced me that it was not an issue they would harp on nor teach... so in practice... No... b/c that is what they harp on the most and enforce in their newly planted church.

    Job's Resurrection Verse: Job 19:25-26

And just like that, Yeshua1 is added to Tom's ignore list. Join the club, partner!

When should a widow[er] take of the wedding ring?

I saw someone I respect deal with this issue (recent widower). Since death ends the marriage, then how long should one hang on to that marriage. I don't mean to be insensitive. Certainly there is a time to grief. I'm just wondering if a person should eventually take off the ring. Υou can't put...

    NT Wright

Defending N. T. Wright here is a tireless (and thankless) enterprise. I'm to the point now where I am done engaging people about him. I will just let them bash him, and it is their loss as to what they refuse to glean from him. I however will continue to enjoy his works and dialogue with his views.

Should Christians strongly support the SECOND AMENDMENT?

Case and point... Transfer that enthusiasm for your flag, country, patriotism, etc. into the gospel... get back, Jack. Revival is a comin'. Although you seem sure it is not. Thus your clinging to guns would be for what end? To continue a godless nation aborting millions? Have at it, sir...

Should Christians strongly support the SECOND AMENDMENT?

    1) What USA's founders did doesn't make it right. I'm not so sure they should have revolted against England. 2) I don't care which country is ruling the USA. I currently live in Central America... so Spain not England. 3) There is a deeper issue at work here. I think some Christians are so...

Should Christians strongly support the SECOND AMENDMENT?

I'm torn on this one. As far as citizenry goes, it is a good thing. But is this really a Christian problem? Not only should Christians avoid violence, but we should be focused on gospel issues.

    Resurrection in the NT

Hi pot. Meet kettle. I only insulted 1 post saying it was an asinine conclusion. He then responded calling me asinine. I attacked his position. He attacked the person. And he puts me on ignore. Laughable. He also didn't like that he had no real way of objecting to the issues I raised against...

    For amillenial brothers....thoughts?

Here is what I can appreciate about this post (and much of this discussion). At least, your eschatology has gone beyond the esoteric and reached a practical goal. I also find my Amillism extremely practical as to my mission in serving Jesus. Since we are really disagreeing on words in a...

    Resurrection in the NT

So is anyone else going to ask Asterisktom to deal w/ the OP? It seems he has me on ignore.

    Enjoy!!! My offer still stands.

    Resurrection in the NT

Come on, Tom. What about the 2 passages I mentioned from Rom. 8?
